Olimpia Milano has completed the coaching staff for the 2023/24 season with the addition of Milan Tomic. “I’m happy and excited to become part of such a prestigious club and family as Olimpia Milan is. From now on, I will be completely focused on helping the team reaching the goals that ultimately we want to achieve,” Milan Tomic said.
WHO IS MILAN TOMIC – Born on 24 July 1973 in Belgrade, Tomic has had a great career as a player. Coming from Radnicki, he played from 1991 to 2004 for Olympiacos Piraeus winning the 1997 EuroLeague, five Greek titles and three times the Greek Cup. Tomic then finished his career playing briefly for Jesi and Rodi. In 2008, he became part of the Olympiacos’ the coaching staff and remained there until 2018 winning the EuroLeague twice, once under Dusan Ivkovic and once with Giorgios Bartzokas as head coach. In 2014, he was briefly the team’s head coach. In 2018 he returned to Serbia when he was named head coach of Red Star. He led the team to the Adriatic League and the Serbian championships in 2019, the Super Cup win in 2018. After leaving Red Star, he was head coach at Peristeri Athens.
