Nikola Jokic on Doncic-Davis trade: “No one is safe”

“He heard it, obviously. I think he didn’t expect it,” Nikola Jokic said of the trade that shocked the league and brought Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers, “I think right now he just needs to be with his family. It’s a big move. It’s a deal, I don’t know. I don’t think anybody expected it, especially him. It seems no one is safe in the league. But I think he will do a good job. I think he’s the right player for the big stage, although I thought he had something special in Dallas.”
