Nick Nurse, former head coach of the Toronto Raptors, is currently the center of attention for two franchises following his rejection of the Milwaukee Bucks: the Philadelphia 76ers and the Phoenix Suns, both in search of a new head coach.
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Nurse has chosen to hold meetings with both the 76ers on Monday and the Suns on Thursday. The 55-year-old coach, however, has not yet made a final decision.
Meanwhile, the 76ers appear to have made up their minds: the connection between Nurse and the President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey is well-known. Morey, then GM of the Houston Rockets, hired Nurse to lead their G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, in the 2011-12 season. A year later, Nurse guided the Vipers to the NBA Development League title.
Regarding the situation with the Suns, Doc Rivers, former coach of the 76ers, is among the finalists for the position, after an interview that took place on Friday.
