New York Knicks to not go all-out in efforts to trade for Mitchell

The New York Knicks executed a significant trade over the weekend. They acquired OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and the 2024 Detroit Pistons second-round pick. With Anunoby’s arrival, many are speculating about the Knicks’ next move. A trade for the long-speculated target Donovan Mitchell does not seem imminent. Indications are that the Knicks will not go all-out in efforts to trade for Mitchell, despite previous links between the team and the player. The Cleveland Cavaliers also informed rival teams in December that they have no intentions of trading Mitchell.
