The Brooklyn Nets have announced that Ben Simmons underwent a successful microscopic partial discectomy earlier today to alleviate the nerve impingement in his lower back.
Simmons is expected to make a full recovery in time for the next Training Camp.
The Australian has appeared in just 15 games this year (6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists).
Simmons has one year left on his contract with the Nets for just over 40 million.
