According to Olgun Uluc, NBL player delegates have voted in the affirmative (15 of the 18 delegates) for a series of measures that would see a tiered approach to salary cuts for the 2020-21 season.
The reporter adds that for the players earning over $200,000 there will be a 50 percent pay cut.
All players will have the opportunity to opt out of their current contracts in the two weeks before the NBL free agency.
Here all the details.
This measure was significant for NBL players: players will have an opportunity, in the 2 weeks leading up to free agency, to opt out of their current contract, sources told @ESPNAusNZ. Each player's NBL rights would be retained by their respective club.https://t.co/yciNot0xqF
