The three-month completion of the 19-20 NBA season at Walt Disney World will cost the league more than $150 million, reports ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
The league is housing 22 teams plus support staff at three resorts, has arranged for seven practice courts and is playing games at three arenas during the quarantine. The NBA is not calculating loss of ticket revenue in this estimate: the league projects to lose more than $1 billion in revenue due to COVID-19.
