NBA in Europe: Panathinaikos and Fenerbahce deny having been contacted

The NBA in Europe is one of the hottest topics at the moment, with the possibility of a new European basketball league being discussed for weeks. According to the website Relevo, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce and Real Madrid have been approached by the NBA about the idea. However, Panathinaikos and Fenerbahce were quick to deny to Eurohoops that they had been contacted by the NBA or FIBA about the proposal. In any case, the idea is concrete as, as we reported, FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis revealed that negotiations have indeed begun.
