Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ty Jerome has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for publicly criticizing referees following his team’s 133-129 overtime win against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Jerome was frustrated by the 53 total fouls called and 70 free throws attempted, singling out referee Natalie Sago: “She was really bad tonight. The game got out of control.
“ The Cavs guard finished with 25 points, 6 assists, and a career-high 6 steals, but also received a technical foul for arguing with the officials. Coach Kenny Atkinson also noted that the game lacked rhythm due to constant stoppages.
