Jeff Goodman of Stadium asked to 35 NBA executives to choose the frontrunner for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
James Wiseman received 20 of the 35 votes. The big man left Memphis because of a 12-game suspension from the NCAA, after just 3 games (19.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3 blocks).
Wiseman, Anthony Edwards (who received 10 votes) and LaMelo Ball are the top three players on several draft boards, and in John Goodman’s mock draft.
The 2020 NBA Draft Lottery originally was set for May 19, but but has been postponed.
