Ja Morant was ejected during the fourth quarter of the Memphis Grizzlies’ 115-110 win over the Sacramento Kings. The guard received two technical fouls: the first for inappropriate language toward an official, and the second for further protests.
According to the NBA’s Pool Report, the second technical foul was due to repeated profanity directed at officials. Postgame review also confirmed that the foul leading to Morant’s ejection was an incorrect call, as Morant was in a legal guarding position.
Morant will return Saturday for a road matchup against the Boston Celtics.
