AS Monaco has announced the signing of French guard Juhann Begarin for the next three seasons.
Begarin, 21 years old and 1.96 metres, comes from Nanterre where he spent the last year. A Leaders Cup finalist, Begarin stands out for his defensive skills and his aggressiveness towards the basket.
Noted for an impressive dunk in the semifinals against Bourg-en-Bresse, he was chosen by the Boston Celtics as 45th in the 2021 NBA Draft.
During the 2022-2023 season, he was voted best youngster in the EuroCup. Now, with the Roca Team, he is ready to continue his growth alongside players like Mike James and Nick Calathes.
