The Milwaukee Bucks are a team to watch in the pursuit of Jimmy Butler, with Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis potentially heading to the Miami Heat, according to Marc Stein.
However, Milwaukee cannot combine contracts in a Butler offer unless they first move Pat Connaughton’s deal, either separately or as part of a larger trade package. If the Bucks find a taker for Connaughton, they could then offer Miami a package featuring Middleton and Portis—two players who could strengthen the Heat’s playoff push in Butler’s absence.
The situation remains fluid, but Milwaukee could be a serious contender for Butler.
