Milano sidelines Pangos, Davies for start of LBA Playoffs

Both marquee signings of previous summer won't play at the beginning of the Playoffs today against 8-seed Pesaro

Reigning LBA champion and #1 seed Olimpia Milano will kick-off Italian League Playoffs with Game 1 against Pesaro, and will do so without the team’s two marquee signings from summer 2022. Ettore Messina confirmed, in an interview with Repubblica, that Kevin Pangos and Brandon Davies won’t be part of the selected team in the beginning of the Playoffs for basketball reasons, with Messina citing the positive moment of Johannes Voigtmann and Pangos’ defensive liabilities as reasons. Italian teams can field up to 6 foreign players per game and changes can be made throughout the rest of the Playoffs (without, though, adding new signings).
