Erik Spoelstra, coach of the Miami Heat, has agreed to an eight-year contract extension worth more than $120 million. ESPN reports.

Spoelstra – who has won two championships and reached the NBA Finals six times – is the second highest paid coach in the NBA on an annual basis, after Gregg Popovich with $19 million per season, but the length of the deal is an all-time record for the league.
