Coach Messina after the home loss to Efes: “Congratulations to Efes; they played an incredible first half, imposing their game. Honestly, it was a shameful performance for us. We missed many things and weren’t competitive at all. It was a tough start to watch with zero effort on the court, evident in the foul count by halftime. We’re struggling defensively at the beginning of games, that’s undeniable. Dimitrijevic, for instance, is certainly feeling the impact of the EuroLeague, not only on defense but offensively as well. Our job is to help him, but he also needs to take steps forward and help himself. Right now, all we can do is focus on gym work to try and emerge from this tough situation. As for making changes in the market or restructuring the team, we need to think calmly. It’s difficult to give an immediate answer, but we’re certainly considering it.”
