Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, injured his right ankle during Thursday’s NBA 2K25 Summer League game against the New Orleans Pelicans and did not return.
Edey left the game with 3:16 remaining before halftime after landing on another player’s foot while attempting to block a shot.
Before exiting, the 7-foot-4 center recorded six points, three rebounds, and a block, making all three of his shot attempts. Edey had previously missed five games due to left ankle soreness.
