Meeting between Ricky Rubio and Mario Fernández in Badalona

Ricky Rubio and FC Barcelona’s sporting director, Mario Fernández, met yesterday morning in Badalona to discuss the player’s situation. Rubio expressed his desires and future intentions. Fernández wanted to hear Rubio’s perspective firsthand as he will meet with coach Joan Peñarroya and Juan Carlos Navarro today to plan the next steps. Without Barcelona’s approval, there is no possibility for Rubio to play for Penya, as the blaugrana club holds his rights.
