Maverick Carter advising on a new international basketball league

LeBron James' manager, Maverick Carter, is helping investors plan a $5 billion international basketball league as a rival to the NBA

Maverick Carter has been enlisted as an adviser for a group of investors aiming to create an international basketball league, per ESPN.

The league, featuring 12 teams split evenly between men’s and women’s rosters, is designed to compete globally. Despite Carter’s involvement, LeBron James is not part of the project.

This would mark the first significant NBA rival since the ABA merger.
