Mathurin ejected, Hunter receives tech in Game 4 scuffle

Bennedict Mathurin was ejected in the first quarter of Game 4 after hitting De'Andre Hunter. Both Hunter and Turner were given technicals

Game 4 between the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers turned heated early, as Bennedict Mathurin was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul after striking De’Andre Hunter in the midsection. The altercation occurred just one minute into the game.

Hunter responded by pushing Mathurin, which led Myles Turner to intervene. After review, referees handed technicals to Hunter and Turner, while Mathurin’s punch led to his dismissal. “It’s a learning experience,” coach Rick Carlisle said postgame.

This follows an earlier incident in Game 1 when Mathurin’s block injured Hunter’s thumb. Despite the drama, the Pacers took control early and secured a 129-109 win, leading the series 3-1.
