Markus Howard leads Baskonia to dominant win over ASVEL

Baskonia put on a show in front of its home fans at Fernando Buesa Arena, cruising past ASVEL 111-75 in their final EuroLeague home game of the season

Markus Howard led the way with 25 points, as the hosts took complete control from the opening tip. Baskonia opened the game with a 30-14 first-quarter lead, went into halftime up 62-34, and reached the 90-point mark before the end of the third quarter (92-50), never allowing ASVEL a chance to recover.

For the French side, Melvin Ajinca scored 16 points and Theo Maledon added 13, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a heavy loss.

Alongside Howard’s performance, Chima Moneke contributed 14 points and 5 rebounds, while Trent Forrest had 13 points and 5 assists for Baskonia.

Both teams had already been eliminated from Play-In contention prior to this game.
