Mark Cuban: “Mavs should have gotten a better deal for Luka Doncic”

Mark Cuban voiced his frustration over the Dallas Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, insisting that the team should have secured a better return.

“If we had to trade Luka, at least get a better deal,” Cuban told WFAA, adding that he would have preferred four unprotected first-round picks, Anthony Davis, and Max Christie.

The former Mavs owner also revealed that he learned about the trade just five minutes before ESPN’s Shams Charania broke the news. Cuban reiterated that he has no regrets about selling the team, explaining that he did it to protect his children from having to handle difficult decisions like this.
