Mario Hezonja is set to return to the NBA. According to Chema De Lucas, the Croatian forward has informed Real Madrid of his decision to leave the club and pursue an NBA opportunity.
Although Hezonja was under contract through 2029, his deal included an NBA escape clause that could be exercised before July 20. His buyout is expected to be around the standard $850,000.
Several NBA teams have shown interest in the 30-year-old forward, impressed by his talent, positional versatility and the positive feedback regarding his maturity and professionalism developed during his successful spell in Europe.
