Maccabi extends win streak with strong 4th quarter in Munich

Bayern goes down at home thanks to a 18-0 Maccabi run in the final quarter, fundamental to secure a 89-74 win

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv collected a hard-fought 74-89 victory on the road against FC Bayern Munich on Friday night to improve to 18-13 after getting its 5th win in a row. The visitors wasted a 16-point first-half advantage and saw how Bayern took the lead back, 69-65, arly in the last period, but a powerful 0-18 run starting midway through that last quarter shifted the momentum and made Bayern collapse. Bayern dropped to 13-18 and sees how its Play-In options got severly reduced.

Jasiel Rivero had an impressive performance in only 12 minutes on court, scoring 17 points to lead all Maccabi scorers. Wade Baldwin followed with 15 points against his former team, as Lorenzo Brown and James Webb III had 12 apiece and Nebo produced 10 plus 7 rebounds. Bayern was paced by Leandro Bolmaro, who finished with career-high 21 points. Serge Ibaka posted 14 points and 8 rebounds and Carsen Edwards provided 12 points in the losing effort.
