Zalgiris Kaunas announced the farewell of three players ahead of next season. Karolis Lukošiūnas, Edmond Sumner and Demetre Rivers will no longer wear the green-and-white jersey.
Sumner, 28, finished his first year in the Euroleague with an average of 6.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in just over 13 minutes of play. In local leagues, he averaged 10 points, two rebounds and 2.8 assists.
Rivers, who joined the team for the ‘Betsafe-LKL’ games, averaged 8.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1 assist in about 16 minutes of play.
Lukošiūnas, who returned to the team in February, played only two games before getting injured.
