Luka Doncic talks to reporters after the Game 1 loss in the Conference Finals between Dallas Mavs and Golden State Warriors.
“They were doing a great job on me, especially in the second half. But I think I’ve got to be better. That’s on me. As a leader I’ve got to be better for the whole group, so that’s on me….Like I said yesterday, they’re a championship team. They know what this is about. They’ve been through the bad and the good. It’s going to be really tough. But we believe. Like I say, it’s Game 1. Somebody got to get to four wins first. It’s going to be a good series.
On making adjustments heading into Game 2:
“We’ve got to play better. That’s it. We’ve got to play tougher. We’ve got to play better. Just like the Phoenix series. After Game 1 — we’ve got to learn from there. Game 2 was the same as Game 1, so we’ve got to learn from that and we’ve got to come out and play harder and play better.
The Slovenian phenom ended Game 1 with 20 points (6/18 FG, 5/8 FT), 7 rebounds and 4 assists, but also 7 turnovers.
