The Los Angeles Lakers, missing LeBron James, blew a 15-point lead and fell 111-108 to the Brooklyn Nets, prompting harsh words from JJ Redick.
Despite Luka Doncic’s second triple-double as a Laker (22 points, 12 assists, 12 rebounds), L.A. struggled against Brooklyn’s defensive pressure and collapsed late.
“We had poor communication, and that’s on me,” Doncic admitted after shooting 8-for-26. Austin Reaves (17 points, 10 assists) also had a tough night, going 3-for-14 from the field. Gabe Vincent (24 points) and rookie Dalton Knecht (19 points) provided a spark, but it wasn’t enough.
With LeBron out at least two weeks, the Lakers now face a brutal stretch, starting with Milwaukee and Denver on Thursday and Friday.
