Luka Doncic is in a legal batte with his own mother Mirjam Poterbin over controlling his trademark “LUKA DONCIC 7”, as reported by Marc Stein.

Per Dailymail, Doncic confirmed to longtime NBA reporter Marc Stein that he filed a petition with the United States Patent and Trademark Office regarding cancelling the “LUKA DONCIC 7” trademark, which is controlled by his mother and which she has refused to give up.
The trademark is currently owned by Doncic’s mother, Mirjam Poterbin. Doncic gave her permission to register his name as a trademark back in 2018, but she has since refused to give up control to him.
According to reporter Marc Stein , Doncic tried to get his mother’s company to give up the trademark by appealing in writing, but that was unsuccessful.
