Los Angeles Lakers to Lift Minutes Restrictions for Luka Doncic

The Slovenian star is ready to play without limits after Wednesday’s game against Charlotte

The Los Angeles Lakers are set to remove Luka Doncic’s minutes restrictions, allowing him to play without limitations after Wednesday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. Head coach JJ Redick confirmed the decision, stating that Doncic has fully recovered from his calf strain, which had sidelined him since Christmas Day.

In his first two games as a Laker, both against the Utah Jazz, Doncic played only 24 minutes per game, averaging 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. Now, with the medical staff’s green light, he is expected to be a full force as Los Angeles pushes for the playoffs. Gabe Vincent, Jaxson Hayes, and Dorian Finney-Smith have also been cleared to play against Charlotte.
