After postponing games last Saturday due to devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, the NBA announced that the Lakers and Clippers will resume their schedules on Monday.
The Lakers will host the San Antonio Spurs at Crypto.com Arena, while the Clippers take on the Miami Heat at the Intuit Dome. Wildfires have destroyed over 5,600 structures and forced 105,000 people to evacuate, marking one of the worst disasters in the city’s history.
The NBA has donated $1 million to organizations such as the American Red Cross to aid relief efforts. Players, including the Spurs’ Chris Paul, expressed concern for affected communities. Paul revealed that his family had to evacuate, calling the situation “terrifying and heartbreaking.”
