London Lions sign Devon Van Oostrum, lose Tarik Phillip indefinitely due to knee surgery

The British player spent last season in Spanish Leb Gold with Melilla and Huesca.

London Lions Point Guard Tarik Phillip underwent successful knee surgery and will be side-lined indefinitely.

“TARIK SUFFERED A KNEE INJURY THAT WILL REQUIRE HIM TO BE OUT FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. I AM CONFIDENT HE WILL ATTACK HIS REHAB AND FIND WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE, WHILE MAKING HIS WAY BACK ON THE COURT. WE WILL PROVIDE AN UPDATE ON HIS STATUS AT A LATER DATE IN THE SEASON.”

In addition, the Lions have signed Point Guard Devon van Oostrum to their roster. van Oostrum is currently a member of the GB National Team competing in EuroBasket alongside Ovie Soko and Luke Nelson.
