Lakers goes 10 for 40 from the arc in loss, LeBron: We’re not a team constructed of great shooting

LeBron James admitted that Lakers are not a team constructed of great shooting after they went 10 for 40 from long range in loss to Golden State Warriors

LeBron James admitted that Lakers are not a team constructed of great shooting after they went 10 for 40 from long range in loss to Golden State Warriors in regular season opener.

Per Realgm, “We’re getting great looks, but it could also be teams giving us great looks. To be completely honest, we’re not a team constructed of great shooting,” James said. “It’s not like we’re sitting here with a lot of lasers on our team.”

Los Angeles’ starting five of James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverley and Lonnie Walker IV combined to go 5-of-24 from behind the arc. Those failures from distance led Lakers coach Darvin Ham to give Matt Ryan 18 minutes, after Ryan made the team off of a training camp contract. Ham said postgame he was looking for a way to get some shooting on the floor, which Ryan can provide.
