Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has a $51.4 million player option on his contract for next season.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, James’ goal is to sign a new multi-year contract with the Lakers.
Windhorst told First Take: “First of all, I think LeBron wants to sign a nine-figure, multi-year contract with the Lakers in the offseason. The salary will be even higher than the deal he has now. Now, whether he can get that deal, whether the Lakers want to give him a three-year deal and pay him $60 million when he’s 42, that’s another question.
