LaMelo Ball misses second half vs. Nets due to right ankle soreness

Hornets star in doubt for upcoming game against Orlando before All-Star break

LaMelo Ball exited the Charlotte Hornets’ 97-89 loss to the Brooklyn Nets after experiencing right ankle soreness. The guard, who recently returned from a left ankle sprain, played only 10 minutes in the first quarter and did not return after halftime.

“I think I just tweaked it, nothing serious,” Ball said, adding uncertainty about his status for Wednesday’s game against Orlando, the Hornets’ last before the All-Star break.

Ball has missed 17 games this season, with Charlotte losing 16 of them. After scoring 24 points in his return against San Antonio, he sat out against Detroit due to left ankle soreness.
