According to reports by Brian Windhorst, the yellow-violet superstar is expected to get out of his contract with the Lakers because he would like to insert a No-Trade clause in his next contract. The only way to get the No-Trade clause is to get out of his current contract, since by NBA rules the Lakers cannot include it in a possible contract extension. Moreover, the reporter adds that there could be an interesting negotiation in the summer as to whether LeBron James will sign a guaranteed three-year deal or whether there will be an option for the third year of the contract. Either way, LeBron James’ future should still be in the Los Angeles Lakers.
