According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Lakers are the only team on Kyrie Irving’s ‘list’ willing to acquire the point guard from the Brooklyn Nets via sign and trade.
However, the reporter adds that the Nets allegedly do not have interest in available Lakers packages.
If Irving decides not to exercise his $36 million player option, his only chance to sign as a free agent with the Lakers would be the $6 million exception for teams paying the luxury tax.
ESPN Sources: Outside of the Lakers, there are currently no known teams planning pursuit of sign-and-trades for Nets G Kyrie Irving. No sign-and-trades can be formally discussed until after 6 PM on Thursday. Brooklyn isn't believed to have interest in available Lakers packages.
