La Laguna Tenerife and Marcelinho Huertas have reached an agreement to extend the Brazilian point guard’s contract for another two seasons, until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Huertas, who arrived in Tenerife in the summer of 2019, has been a key pawn in the club’s successes over the past five years, contributing to winning a Basketball Champions League (BCL) and two Intercontinental Cups, as well as reaching the Copa del Rey final in 2023 and third place in the Liga Endesa in 2020/21.
During his tenure, Huertas played 272 official games with Tenerife, becoming the best assist-man in ACB and BCL history.
