Despite Luka Doncic’s recent departure, the Dallas Mavericks and Kyrie Irving remain on course to finalize a new contract this offseason. While Irving has yet to publicly address the trade, negotiations with Dallas are progressing smoothly.
Irving has multiple options: he could opt into the final year of his deal and sign a four-year, $266.7 million extension, or opt out and secure a new five-year contract worth up to $313.9 million. With the addition of Anthony Davis, the Mavericks are committed to structuring their future around Irving and Davis.
