Knicks: D’Angelo Russell among options to improve point guard position

The Ohio State product has another year on his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves at about $31 million

Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report talks about the New York Knicks’ plans for the upcoming offseason.

The ‘main focus’ is to improve  the point guard position, and for different reasons top targets such as Donovan Mitchell and Jalen Brunson seem unrealistic.

The reporter also points to D’Angelo Russell among the options , in light of the arrival of Gersson Rosas in the Knicks’ front office as senior basketball advisor.

The Ohio State product has another year on his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves at about $31 million; last season he averaged 18 points and 7 assists in the regular season and 12 with 6.6 assists in the playoffs.
