Kevin Punter, former Olimpia Milano player in the midst of a great season with Partizan, gave a long interview to the Greek website Sdna. The player also spoke about the summer of his departure from the Italian team after securing a spot in the Final Four in Cologne: “It feels like all of this happened yesterday, it’s incredible how time flies so quickly. There were people who criticized me, some said I did it just for money. I imagine now everyone understands my choice. It wasn’t just about the money. Clearly, I came here to do something special and I think we’ve taken a step in that direction.”
He also said, “Of course, the goal was to play in the Euroleague. Maybe not everyone understood my vision and what was happening here. They simply saw that I signed with Partizan. Personally, I’m happy with my choice. As you can see, we’re in a very good position now. I suppose most people would say it was a smart choice. I feel good and want to continue doing what we’re doing, winning and improving.”
