Kevin Pangos extended his streak of consecutive EuroLeague games with at least one made three to 31. In Villeurbanne, his three had been decisive, with 54 seconds left in the game, to open a five-point lead for Olimpia. Against Alba Berlin, his four threes in the second half were instrumental in leading the comeback and ultimately force the overtime. In Belgrade, his five points at the end were crucial. With the three, he shrank the deficit from four points to one and finally with his drive he widened the gap to five points essentially closing the game off. “With an atmosphere like that, the other team gets going, they play aggressive and it is hard to hear calls and everything – Pangos said in the end -. In a situation like that, we just needed to stick together for 40 minutes and really just battle away, every possession. And I think our team did that. It definitely wasn’t an easy game but we pulled through. We have to take one game at a time. Obviously, we wanted to get that win the other day against Alba, but it happens, it is the EuroLeague. Every game, you can win and you can lose. We wanted to come out here and put that behind us and get a win today, and we did that.”
