S.S. Napoli Basket announces it has signed a one-year agreement with Canadian athlete Kevin Pangos. The 188 cm. point guard was born in Holland Landing, Ontario in 1993.
Kevin Pangos grew up in Ontario, making his mark on the Canadian youth national team. With the Under-16 team, he won a bronze medal at the 2009 US Championships, and then again at the Under-17 World Championships in Hamburg in 2010. In 2011, he played in the Under-19 World Championships. In the autumn of 2011, he moved to the United States to play in the NCAA with the Gonzaga Bulldogs, where he stayed four years playing 142 games averaging 12.8 points per game with 3.8 assists and 41.5% in three-point shooting. Not selected in 2015, he moved to Europe to play for Gran Canaria in Spain, where he was included in the second All-Eurocup quintet (11.9 points, 4.8 assists per game, 51.2% from three), a competition in which he reached the semifinals.In 2016 he moved to Zalgiris Kaunas where he made his EuroLeague debut. After a first year of 8.7 points and 3.2 assists per game (45.7% from three), he rose to 12.7 points and 5.9 assists in 2017/18 when Zalgiris reached the Final Four. He won with Zalgiris two National Championships, and two Lithuanian Cups.
In 2018 he moved to Barcelona, averaging 7.0 points and 3.2 assists. At Barcelona, he stayed two seasons and won the Copa del Rey in 2019. In 2020, he moved to Zenit St Petersburg, averaging 13.5 points and 6.7 assists. In 2021, he made his NBA debut playing 24 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the following season, 2022-23, he arrived in Italy with Emporio Armani Milano, where he won the Championship, played in the Euroleague and stayed until the end of 2023, before completing the season just ended in Spain with Valencia.
