Kevin Durant exits Suns’ blowout loss with left ankle injury

Durant suffers left ankle sprain against the Rockets, will undergo MRI and miss start of road trip

Kevin Durant left the Phoenix Suns’ 148-109 loss to the Houston Rockets after suffering a left ankle sprain in the third quarter following contact with Jabari Smith Jr.

The All-Star forward couldn’t put weight on his leg and will have an MRI on Monday. He won’t travel with the team to Milwaukee.

Earlier, Durant and Dillon Brooks were involved in a shoving match that led to Brooks’ ejection. Durant finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds in 23 minutes.
