Promising Lithuanian prospect Kasparas Jakucionis will leave Barcelona to play at Illinois and prove himself in College Basketball.
The news was reported by ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, who considers the 17-year-old point guard ‘one of the most promising international prospects in the 2024 class’ and ‘a potential first-round pick in the 2025 NBA draft’.
Jakucionis was included on the 2023-24 EB ANGT Finals Berlin All-Tournament Team, where he dished out 38 assists in 3 games and posted a new record with 17 assists in a game.
