Per Yahoo Sports, On his second Mother’s Day since losing his mom to COVID-19, Karl-Anthony Towns shared an emotional public moment with father.
Prior to Sunday’s tip against the Orlando Magic, the Minnesota Timberwolves center found his father Karl Sr. in the stands and shared a long embrace, appearing to break down in tears.
Towns revealed in March 2020 that his mother Jacqueline Towns was in a coma with COVID-19 at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. On April 13, she died. Towns later revealed that COVID-19 has devastated his family, claiming the lives of six other family members.
