Jordi Bertomeu: From now to 2023/2024 we want to have 16/18 teams with multi-year licenses

Before EuroCup Game 1 semifinals between Virtus Bologna and Unics Kazan, EuroLeague CEO Jordi Bertomeu had a press conference.

“Football champions league will have more games and this is the path we could take too” Bertomeu said.

The number 1 of EuroLeague also said that two wild cards will be allocated for next season but none of them will end up in Italy.

“From now to 2023/2024 we want to have 16/18 teams with multi-year licenses and owners of league” Bertomeu added.
