Jokic cancelled in Game 7: Caruso limits him as never before

The three-time MVP blocked by OKC: only 0.78 points per possession, a career low in the playoffs

Nikola Jokic was nullified in Game 7 by the Thunder’s defence, which pinned Alex Caruso on him for a whopping 40 possessions in the halfcourt. That is the most matchups Jokic has suffered against a guard in his entire career.

The Serbian finished with minimal effectiveness: only 0.78 points per possession when tagged by Caruso, according to Genius IQ. The Thunder denied him repeatedly, forcing him to 103.8 touches per 100 possessions, the lowest figure ever recorded in the playoffs for him.
