The Los Angeles Lakers were routed by the Miami Heat, falling 134-93. Tyler Herro led the charge with 31 points and nine threes, including seven consecutive in the third quarter. Lakers coach JJ Redick admitted his team’s struggles: “We’re having trouble with basic stuff on both ends. It’s embarrassing.”
LeBron James backed Redick, absolving the coaching staff: “It’s on us, not the coaches.” Anthony Davis, coming off lackluster performances, took responsibility: “I need to play better for the team to succeed.”
The Lakers, now losers of six of their last eight games, aim to turn things around Friday against Atlanta.
