Jasikevicius after Fenerbahce’s loss to Monaco: “To concede 99 points at home is unacceptable”

A disappointed Sarunas Jasikevicius commented on Fenerbahce’s 69-99 home defeat to Monaco. These are his statements.

Jasikevicius’ words: “The only thing I can say is that our defense was bad. In the third quarter they scored difficult baskets, hats off to them, but to give up 99 points here is unacceptable. We had two days of practice and we changed our defense a little bit, but we didn’t put in the effort. When we are 18th in the first quarter of a home game, it means there are mental problems. We talk about it all the time as coaches and staff. My theory is that at home we come here to show off to our fans, while on the road we are more willing to suffer and fight. We have no excuses, today we have to understand what we did wrong, what the problem is. Of course there are problems and we cannot underestimate them, but we have to show character and not give up”.
