FC Barcelona will be without Jan Vesely for Thursday’s EuroLeague game against Baskonia. The 34-year-old center has been ruled out due to knee discomfort, head coach Joan Peñarroya confirmed.
Vesely joins an already depleted roster, with Justin Anderson (hamstring) still sidelined and Nicolas Laprovittola out for the season following knee surgery. The club also parted ways with Raul Neto, who managed only two appearances due to ongoing injury struggles.
Despite the setbacks, Peñarroya ruled out any immediate reinforcements: “With the squad we have, we will give everything, just as we have done so far.” Barcelona sits at 13-10 in EuroLeague, tied for sixth place in a tight playoff race.
